Cellphones addiction in 2022
Why do we need to be so addicted?
What is the reason to be addicted? There are many reasons for being addicted to anything, right now let’s talk about cellphones. We all know that phones have become a part of our life at such an alarming rate in recent times. But what actually is it that makes us addicted to phone? Well, this article will explain why people feel like they needed it more than they needed to eat or sleep. As humans, we love to complain, we hate any change in scenery and our phones are no exception. They help us find stuff faster and easier. And, this is true for teens with their devices with social media, video calling, texting and instant messaging. It allows you to communicate with your friends around the world, without having to face miles or even hours away from home. Now, I am not suggesting that we don’t spend our time in nature, I just think that we should spend less time on our devices, and more time doing things that matter, like reading books or traveling somewhere. But, that doesn’t mean that we have to stop using them and lose ourselves in the process. Many people are already addicted, but there’s some other hidden addictions too. The problem can get deeper into depression and self-esteem if you aren’t aware of these things. I thought I understood my addiction when I was younger, but it seems like now I really need to understand how bad and serious it is, because I can relate to other teenagers as well. The thing is, I didn’t realize about myself until these things started hurting me. So, here is everything you need to know.
The truth about our human condition is that we have different parts that make us different. For example, our brain has different functions, while our heart has other important organs, other organs have essential functions too. We all have two eyes and a nose and a mouth, which are important for seeing. Other organ parts are also required, for example lungs need oxygen, while skin and blood need enzymes and glucose to carry oxygen to cells. That’s how our organs function. When someone has excessive use of cellphones, he ignores his body and needs an alternative source to get oxygen to every cell. To prevent yourself from getting addicted, you need to focus on the critical health aspects. Like, your mental health, emotional stability, eating habits, exercise, and sleep hygiene, to name a few. Just set aside 1 hour a day, get out and live! What’s new to you to start? We all can learn a lot about ourselves, with just one extra screen in front of us. And, a way to see is to go outside for 10 minutes. Take off that phone and open your window! How else would you feel, not scrolling through Instagram, Facebook, tweets, WhatsApp, Snapchat and all that crap? Don’t let it ruin your moods. If you want to learn something new and develop in skills, then go out by yourself, ask questions and discover new things, like going out on dinner dates and making conversation with neighbors. No matter what, you can feel happy and satisfied when you’re surrounded by interesting people.
But, is this addiction? This is all connected, not just one big issue. Our society has made a great deal in understanding addictive behavior. We have developed lots of drugs and alcoholics who get hooked to whatever they want to do and won’t give up. Even though these kinds of people are extremely harmful and dangerous, it gives people a great outlet, and that helps them stay healthy, because people might try to convince themselves that addiction is a disease. However, the reality isn’t that simple. When we use something, we want to experience pleasure and experience a sense of accomplishment. Most of us have to work hard to achieve our goals and to learn and to improve our lives. According to psychologist and researcher Daniel Kahneman, the satisfaction from doing good works better than suffering or anxiety. With no knowledge about the subject, you can do good to others on purpose without thinking about consequences. You will always want to help others, and in return, people will love and support you. At least, a little bit, and this feeling is called “psychological ownership.” Your brain is wired to seek positive emotions and sensations. Positive experiences drive us, and when you’re addicted to cellphones and you’re surrounded by negativity, people will start hating you.
So, here’s another question to address, while there’s a very small chance that you could be addicted to smartphones in the future, people might try to avoid dealing with the situation. But, this is a deep issue to treat. People can have smartphone addiction but still be healthy. Do you know what you can do about smartphone addiction? First, make sure your phone doesn’t distract you from real work, school, hobby, or other time consuming tasks. Second, download productivity apps in your phones. Third, limit how much you use. Keep track of everything. Make an alarm when you reach the end of the day. Set reminders, and put your phone down. Sometimes, cellphones even offer features, like parental controls, parental lockers, parental alerts, etc. These things are useful, but they might take away most freedom from people. You can remove those unnecessary things and control your device only when you are ready to go out, because you need to focus on tasks. And most importantly, stop searching for the latest updates from everyone. Stop looking for ways to increase your number of likes. You don’t need any more likes, just don’t look for those ‘likes’ anymore. Yes, social media (and other platforms) help us find information faster and more easily, but they can add nothing more than useless clutter in your life. Try doing a couple of hobbies instead. Maybe, you want to read a book, the next day before going for a walk or for lunch break and cook a meal. Instead of spending time studying for a test, you can have fun watching TV or playing games. All those distractions can reduce your quality of life, your motivation to do well and your ability to focus better. Give yourself permission to play and have fun. Be mindful that a lot of us are under pressure from technology. We try to be busy with it all, which keeps us distracted and distracted. Get back to focusing on the basics, like walking on the street for 30 minutes instead of checking Instagram.
I hope this helped you and gave you a glimpse of the issues related to our lifestyle. Thanks to research and facts, we know these things and they aren’t limited to us. Maybe one day when we are living better, people won’t be addicted to cellphone as much as we have been. But, to become addicted is to keep ourselves distracted and lost. Believe it or not, we had to learn how to lead our own lives when we were young, because in life, you would never get back unless you get used to it. Also, it was more difficult to create great memories when we weren’t focused and we hadn’t worked out, as it takes more time and effort than we usually have.
